Right to Information campaign, Bihar is a joint platform, RTI campaign is going on in whole state. In this program, in all district of Bihar, awareness camp will be put up. The whole pourpose of the camp is to help the local people file RTI applications at block offices. In this program attached with national campaign, these people will participate—Sandeep Pandey, Aruna Roy, and Arvind Kejariwal etc.The details were discussed in a meeting organised on the 29th of January - the report of which is published below. This activity would need a lot of financial support for pamphlets,booklets, banners and for travel of activists.

Report of meeting on 29^th Jan 07

 The campaign of Right to information on date December 21, 2007 at 11 o’clock, state level meeting was done in Gandhi Sangrahalya, Patna In this meeting representative of different organisation and individuals participated. Mr. Gorelal Manishi presided and Rupesh conducted over the meeting. People joint with 70 organisation under 30 districts from 5-15 Feb, in their own district office and Block office put up a camp on RTI and inspire people to ask for information. In this meeting Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisowdiya from Delhi also took part. Mr. Vallabhacharya and other friends from UP also participated in this meeting. In his address, relating to the difficulties faced by him while working on RTI, he told that if people use this right and are informed about this, then only our dream can come true in the map of the world. Due to this right a lone person can also know the secret work going on in the office and bring the truth out and in this way real democracy can be achieved. Giving example of media he told that wrong deeds, behaviour and corruption present in the society could be overcome by use of this right. 

Coordinating the program, Sri Rupesh told that this campaign is not only campaign but to put it down in real life. In the first step only so many people have participated in the program and has taken a oath to work. If this campaign becomes successful then that day is not distant when Bihar would be able to garner its previous respect and shine as a star in the map of the world. 

Senior member of coordination group of this campaign, Gorelal Manishi said that to when people remain naked and hungry and uninformed about RTI, there is no value of this law. My campaign will be open till that date. 

From 30 Jan to 4 Feb, at the level of district, meeting and training would be organised to make aware simple people and social workers. In the second step, from 5 to 15 Feb in 30 districts, at district collectariat and block office, on a regular basis, information would be given to the people through camp. During all this program, from neighbouring state, UP and Delhi, friends will visit different district and make them aware of information and will help in asking for information. People like Sandeep Pandey, Manish Sisowndiya, Kamayani and from Bihar, Gorelal Manishi, Rupesh, Arshad Ajmal, Md Sarferaj will take part in this program and will go to various district and make a connection with administrative officers, thereby strengthening the campaign.
